If all goes well, then Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will star in yet another film on the Taj Mahal. Ash, who has recently committed herself to Sir Ben Kingsely's yet untitled film, where she plays Mumtaz Mahal, has also been chosen to play the wife of Prince Salim, in Hollywood director Michael Radford's Taj.
Ash's tryst with the Mughals began when she signed Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodha Akbar, where she plays the Emperor's Rajput wife. Close on the heels came Kingsley's offer. He signed her and Bipasha Basu to play two of the leading female characters in his film on the Taj Mahal. In Kingsely's film, Ash has been signed on to play the role of Shah Jahan's wife. Radford, who was in Mumbai recently, confirmed the news that Ash is a part of his project. He said that the actress was ideal for his film. Currently, Radford, is working on a project with Ashok Banker, after which he will start work on Taj. The film will be produced by Kenneth Atchity under the banner Atchity Entertainment International. The film will be shot in Jaipur, Delhi, Agra and Mumbai.
