The Khans have for a long time been the industry's frontliners. We are talking about Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Saif Khan. While last year was Saif professionally, this year may leave the King Khan's fans a little disappointed.
Shah Rukh, as we all know, had a rocking year in 2007, what with Chak De India and then Om Shanti Om. Salman, too had a fairly decent year, with the success of his Partner. Aamir had the last laugh with his directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par. But the year did not go so well for Saif, whose sole release was a dud at the box office. But this year may see a lot of that changing. Unfortunately, SRK, for the first time since his debut in Deewana (1992), will not be seen in a lead role this year. He was supposed to do films with Raj Kumar Hirani, Shankar and Shirish Kunder, all of which have fallen through. His fans will have to be content with him doing special appearances in Bhootnath and Dulha Mil Gaya. Audiences will have to wait for 2009 when he will be seen in Karan Johar's next. As for Salman, this year should see him doing some six films. He has a full plate with films like Yuvraj, God Tussi Great Ho, Wanted—Dead Or Alive. He will also be seen in the episodic film, Heroes, besides Hello and Do Aur Do Paanch, where he has a special appearance. Aamir, the slow and steady Khan, is all geared up to do Ghajini this year. He will also be launching his nephew Imraan Khan in Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na. Saif, who had a miserable 2007 professionally, has shifted from the romantic to the action genre and will be seen in Abbas Mustan's Race, followed by Yash Raj's Tashan. The latter half of the year will see Saif lend his voice to an animated dog in the Jugal Hansraj directed Roadside Romeo. Finally, there is Kunal Kohli's next opposite Rani Mukherjee. The Khans should have a lot to keep them busy this year as well.
