Shilpa Shetty, the famous Indian actress who shot to fame with her stint at the UK's reality TV show, celebrity Big Brother, had only one release, Life in a Metro, last year.

Critics appreciated her performance in the film, and it raked in the moolah. But this svelte beauty took a sabbatical yet again only to be seen in a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om. Shilpa tried her luck with the onstage musical, Miss Bollywood, which went on a world tour, but it sadly received lukewarm response everywhere except at London where it was staged at the Royal Albert Hall.

Later, she tried to bank on her popularity in the UK and released a video on Yoga techniques titled Shilpa's Yoga. Sources say that it is selling like hot cakes and that should bring in a glimmer of hope to her presumably sliding career.

The latest we hear is that this lady will soon grace the silver screens back home with Sunny Deol for his home production. The film titled, The Man, is being written and will, in all probability, directed by Neeraj Pathak. Neeraj's tryst with fame came with his first film Pardes directed by Subhash Ghai. The success of this film catapulted him to the top league amongst Bollywood's writers. Lets hope The Man can boost Shilpa's star status back home as well.
