The dancing sensation, the Michel Jackson of India, Prabhu Deva had started his film career as a dance choreographer but subsequently blossomed into a good actor and later forayed into direction and has been establishing to be an admirable director.

Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana was the first Telugu film in which Prabhu Deva wielded the megaphone followed by Pournami and later Shankardada Zindabad with Chiranjeevi. His impressive directorial record had fetched him the opportunity to direct Ilaya Thalapathy in Pokkiri which again proved to be a blockbuster victory.

Sometime back, when veteran director Mahendran was asked to name his favorite actors, he quickly mentioned that it is Prabhu Deva and also said that he should take on more acting assignments. Reacting to this comment, Prabhu Deva said, “I feel too happy and proud that a director of the caliber like Mahendran likes my acting. I feel much honored and if time permits, I certainly would take up more acting projects.” Hearing this, many directors have approached Prabhu Deva with loads of acting offers.

However the lanky actor has been refusing all of them as he is currently busy directing Salman Khan in Hindi Pokkiri and once he wraps up there, he will fly down to south where he would once again team up with Vijay for an Ayngaran International film. As it looks like, Prabhu Deva’s fans can see him donning his acting cap perhaps only after two years.
