Govinda slapped a man who had gatecrached on the sets of Kumar Mangat's Money Hai To Honey Hai on Wednesday. The incident stalled the shooting for some time that day. But now it seems that the actor failed to report for shooting yesterday leading producer Mangat to suffer a loss amounting to Rs 15 lakhs.
According to sources in the film unit, after the slapping incident, the shooting was stalled for a couple of hours. Even after they resumed shooting, only four shots could be taken that day. The following day, Govinda did not turn up and the rest of the cast kept waiting for him. The entire schedule was thrown out of gear and the production has incurred a loss of Rs 15 lakhs. The set erected at Filmistan where the actors are shooting is an expensive set. Since a lavish song sequence is being shot, the unit could not shoot without Govinda. The crew later packed up without canning a single shot. Actors Upen Patel, Aftab Shivdasani, Celina Jaitly and Hansika were on the sets from 9 am yesterday. Apparently director Ganesh Acharya is appalled at the actor's unprofessional conduct. However, the actor claims that he was unwell and therefore did not report on the sets. He also claims that he had informed his director in advance. Be that as it may, but it seems that Mangat is paying dearly for the slap.
