Producer-director Indra Kumar's daughter Shweta is all set to make her debut opposite Himesh Reshammiya in Karzzz. This T-Series project is being directed by Satish Kaushik and is a remake of Subhash Ghai's 1980 reincarnation film, Karz, starring Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim and Simmi Garewal.

The remake has actress Urmila Matondkar playing the role made famous by Simmi in the original. But there was a search on for an actress to play Tina Munim's role opposite Himesh. Though it is still being kept under wraps, sources says that Shweta has been finalized for the role. Though nobody connected with the film is willing go public with the news, Indra Kumar had stated earlier that his daughter would be launched in films. In fact, it is believed that he and Ashok Thakeria had even spoken to Madhuri Dixit for a film under their banner, which would have been Shweta's launch pad. But now it seems that Indra Kumar has agreed to his daughter being launched by T-series. Himesh's debut in Aap Ka Suroor saw him being paired opposite the teenaged Hansika. Now the singer gets another youngster as his heroine.
