After earning rave reviews for his performance in Veyil, Pasupathy is back in Kollywood with Vedigundu Murugesan, directed by Murthy, who earlier gave the hit film Karupasamy Kuthagaitharar with Karan.
The film is produced by Annamalai Films, which has earlier produced Bambarakannale and Koodal Nagar. The production house is also producing Sarath Kumar’s forthcoming film Vaitheeswaran.
Despite having ‘vedingundu’ (bomb) in its title, the unit says that the film is not an action-packed venture but a laugh riot with an equal dose of sentiment that is sure to warm the hearts of audiences. The hero is one who does shocking things now and again and the story is about the effects of his actions.
Jyothirmayi, in the role of a police inspector, plays the female lead opposite Pasupathy. In addition, the makers have roped in Vadivelu to make this film even more humorous. Dhina is the music composer.
The puja of the film was held yesterday at AVM Studios, Chennai. The shooting will start from today at Rajapalayam and the unit plans to complete the entire film in a single schedule.
With Pasupathy playing the lead role with Rajinikanth in Kuselan too, expectations for this film have naturally gone up.
