An advertisement in Samna on Wednesday, wishing Bal Thackeray on his birthday by Sanjay Dutt and Manyara Dutt has again brought the focus back on the actor and the much-speculated status of his relationship with his erstwhile girlfriend.

Bollywood sources have maintained throughout that the couple had a quiet registration marriage in the presence of family members on October 12, 2006. It is a second marriage for both of them. Surprisingly, Dutt's family continues to feign ignorance about the matter. However, what is undeniable is the fact that Manyata is fully in charge of Sanjay's life and his household. It is a well known fact that the actor's sisters Namrata and Priya, and his daughter Trishala are not particularly fond of her. Manyata, who was a small time Bollywood item girl, has been his constant companion for a while now. It is believed that Manyata even screens Sanjay's friends. The famous fallout between Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta has is also being attributed to Manyata, who feels that the friendship is not good for Sanjay. Ever since Manyata took charge of the actor's life, he has signed bigger projects and is said to be earning more than ever. There have been reports recently that the couple is looking to move out of their apartment in Imperial Heights. They are believed to be scouting around in Bandra for another apartment.
