Patna: Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh is all set to get it's first girls school. Amitabh Bachchan is now also making sure that the two abandoned sisters he had adopted, get to study there.

The two sisters, Anjali and Rimjhim are travelling from Patna to Barabanki to meet their new mentor, Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan. A few weeks ago, CNN-IBN had reported how the two sisters were abandoned by their parents after they were sent to a private boarding school. After seeing the report, several people, including Big B, came forward to help. Even the mother who had abandoned the kids came back to claim her children.

"We are very happy that we got our mother back,” says Anjali.

The two sisters have been given admission in the new girls' school being built by the Bachchan family in Barabanki. The school, named after Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, is likely to be up and running by July.

"Amitabh has adopted two kids. All expenses will be borne by him and they can also complete their higher education from the school,” says Amitabh's representative, Chandrama Prasad.

Ahead of the schools' foundation laying function on Sunday, the excitement is palpable in Barabanki.

“Amitabh has done commendable work in this village by setting up the school,” says villager, OP Yadav. Another villager, Rahul Singh says that people will benefit a lot after the school starts functioning.

For Amitabh Bachchan, the construction of the school may just be a small investment. However, for these two girls, it is about a secure future.
