Movies with mythological story lines are a delight to watch. They occupy the middle line between commercial films and offbeat ones, and entertain effectively. Indralogathil Na Azhagappan is Vadivelu's second attempt after Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi as the hero. Imsai... did well at the box-office mainly because of its comedy and that is immensely available in Indralogathil... too.The movie combines present-day reality with mythological adventures that the central character experiences. Azhagappan is an ordinary man who goes to heaven after his death. Curious Azhagappan takes a tour around the exotic world. To his surprise, he finds Lord Indra, king of Devas, resembling him in appearance. And as he continues his tour, the innocent simpleton soon finds Lord Yama, Lord of death too, having exactly similar looks. Azhagappan becomes puzzled . Determined to find the truth behind this, he sets out on a journey. The heavenly beings he encounters on his way, including his verbal exchanges with the Gods Yama and Indra, the bewilderment and excitement he experiences, are what makes the plot humorous. In every sense, Indralogathil... will be a Vadivelu extravaganza. Vadivelu is sure to bring out a clear difference and enjoyment through each of his three roles. His on screen strengths, such as his dialogue timing and body language, will definitely make this mythological tale a resounding success. The film stars three apsaras. Yamini, a classical dancer, is the divine damsel Rambha, Suja is Oorvasi and Raari from Kerala plays Menaka. The cast also includes Nasser, Thiyagu, Manobala, Ilavarasan, Sumithra, along with directors Thambi Ramaiah and Raj Kapoor in significant roles. Mythological movies have imagination as the basis of storyline; huge sets largely support the narrative. Indralogathil... has the best technical back-up. Thotta Tharani is the art director and camera work is by Gopinath. Thambi Ramaiah, whose earlier movie was Mano Needhi, is the director. He has written comedy tracks for several films and has put his experience to best use in Indralogathil... Trendy and peppy music for the movie is provided by the energetic duo Sabesh-Murali. The movie, produced by Manickam Narayanan of Seventh Channel, will be a Pyramid Saimira release. Shooting has been carried out on elaborate sets erected in Prasad Studios and also in and around Madurai and Ambasamudhram. A song was shot with around 40 dancers from Mumbai. This mythological comedy hits screens tomorrow!
