Kadhalika Neramillai, the laughter riot directed by Sridhar, was a rollicking success. The movie had a bunch of young talent and the talented Balaiya playing the lead roles. The Balaiya-Nagesh combo had us in splits and decades after its release, the movie continues to be one of the best comedy films Tamil cinema has ever produced.
In keeping with the remake trend, Kadhalika Neramillai will also receive a facelift in the deft hands of director Manobala. While Prithviraj and Vinay are in the reckoning for the roles of Muthuraman and Ravichandran respectively, Manobala has approached Vadivelu to play the role of either Balaiya or Nagesh. Vadivelu is yet to confirm his presence in this remake.
