Amitabh Bachchan, Vishal and Shekhar certainly seem to be having fun in the making of the movie as well as the music of Sujoy Ghosh's Aladin. If singing two songs in the film wasn't enough, it is now believed that the Big B has even co-composed one of the songs.
Music composer Vishal Dadlani confirms the fact and adds that the superstar is a phenomenal person to work with. It seems that they were all jamming at the studio for one of the songs, Genie Rap, when Amitabh started giving suggestions to the composers, which they found to be very valueable. He then went ahead to co-compose the hook for the song. The actor has been known for his inclination towards music. He has so far sung for more than 19 films so far, including the likes of Silsila, Mr. Natwarlal, Laawaris, the recent Baghbaan, Babul, Nishabd and Cheeni Kum. Vishal also revealed the Big B's phenomenal energy as he recorded the song till 3am in the morning. The song is difficult to sing because of its rap genre but the actor again took the composers by surprise by his relentless drive to get it all perfectly before freezing on the final cut. While the composers were dead tired after the song's recording, the actor is believed to have said that since it was close to morning, he may as well stay awake and hit the gym. Incidentally, Aladin stars the Big B as the genie and Ritesh Deshmukh as Aladin. A major schedule of the film has been wrapped up last month though the entire shooting is expected to be complete by May. The producers are looking for a late 2008 release.
