Katrina Kaif may be on a high as she has signed two films in the last week. The first being with John Abraham for Yash Raj Films, to be directed by Kabir Khan, while the second is an Ashtavinayak Film opposite Akshay Kumar. But the fact remains that Katrina was offered the Yash Raj film as a sop as her role in the other Yash Raj Film was deleted.
Katrina's track has been cut from the other Yash Raj Film being directed by Siddharth Anand, and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba. It's rare that a heroine's track in deleted from a film, while the portions of the other three actresses in the film have been retained. Katrina was slated to shoot for the film later this month, when they decided to do away with her role altogether. She was then offered another film by the production house as they did not want her to feel upset. She signed the film opposite John last week. Boyfriend Salman Khan is believed to have given her his blessings for the film as he reportedly does not want to come in way of her career. According to sources, Siddharth Anand's film is about a young man and the four women he meets. Sixty per cent of the film has already been completed and the production house found that the film was getting too long, so they decided to do away with one girl's character altogether. Since the other heroines have already shot for the film, the axe fell on Katrina. Nothing personal here.
