London, Feb 11 (ANI): Sir Paul McCartney rebuffed her estranged wife Heather Mills' last-minute effort to settle the divorce deal by saying 'See you in court!'

A friend revealed that Heather bombarded the ex-Beatle with phone calls over the weekend, trying to arrive at a settlement ahead of today's court hearing. But the veteran singer refused to even speak to her.

However, Sir Paul finally picked up the phone and curtly snubbed her requests.

"Heather kept phoning Paul but he wouldn't take her calls. When she eventually got through she was in tears and very emotional. He was very cool throughout the conversation," the Mirror quoted the friend, as saying.

"She is desperate to settle out of court and told him it didn't need to come to that. But he ended it by simply saying 'I'll see you in court,' " the friend added.

The pal further revealed that Mills was desperate to convince Macca that the newspaper reports saying she was unfaithful to him for six months during the early part of their relationship were not true.

"She wanted to tell him she is innocent. I think she's worried that every time something bad is written about her, the court payment will go down," the friend said.

The friend also said that the ex-porn star is afraid that she will be publicly ridiculed in court, adding: "She's really nervous about it. She thinks she will be humiliated when her past is raked up." (ANI)
