New Delhi: The stars of the film Jodhaa Akbar Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai were in the capital on Friday night for the premiere of the film.Saturday Feb 16 2:26 PM
Though critics have appreciated the film, it has not hit screens in Rajasthan due to protests by some Rajput groups.
The stars have reacted to the controversy.
“It is a movie. Grab a popcorn, sit back and enjoy it. If you are a Hindu you will be proud, if you are a Muslim you will be proud and if you are a Rajput you will be proud too. You will be proud to just be a human. It is that kind of a film. All the different sections that are objecting to different things are not in consensus with each other,” said Hrithik.
Meanwhile Aishwarya explained, “The story of the movie firstly is not a history lesson and it is not a documentary. It is a fictional love story.”
