New Delhi: A little after actor Sanjay Dutt tied the knot with Manyata, the Goan authorities have put the registration of their marriage on hold.

The state government has now issued a showcause notice to Manyata questioning the authenticity of her Goan residence certificate that she provided for her marriage registration.

According to reports, Manyata gave a certificate signed by a lower level revenue official instead of a senior authorised official.

Manyata also claimed to have stayed in Goa for six months as stated in an affidavit, a fact which is now being questioned by the authorities.

The Mamlatdar of Salcete, Paresh Phaldesai says, "I have issued a showcause notice to Manyata asking her to reply within one day. The notice is been issued to her Malgaon address from where she has obtained the certificate."
