While all eyes continue to be set on the fate of JODHAA AKBAR at the box office, a small film has gone ahead and registered good profits.Rajat Kapoor directed MITHYA has enjoyed good returns at the ticket counters as it has netted close to 3 crores from its one week run so far. Commendable for a film of this scale since in recent times number of medium budget films with far more commercially viable star cast have also failed to make much of an impression.
A film that had its target audience always set as multiplex audience in big centers, Ranvir Shorey and Neha Dhupia starrer MITHYA has done quite well especially in Mumbai and Delhi with collections exceeding 75 lakhs and 60 lakhs respectively.
With JODHAA AKBAR as the only major competition for the film till BLACK and WHITE arrives all the way on 7th March, MITHYA has a great opportunity to further make a killing. All around positive reviews and word of mouth have only helped the cause further!
