The latest buzz on the Ram Gopal Verma front is that his Sarkar Raj will release only in September instead of May as scheduled. The reason being that Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly asked the director to re-shoot some of the scenes in the film. While this is not good news for the director, what does happen to work in his favour is that he has managed to make peace with all old associates and will now be working with all his previous producers.
The release of Sarkar Raj, the much-awaited sequel to Sarkar, has again been pushed ahead. First, the film's release was held back because the Bachchans wanted Jodhaa Akbar to be their bahu Aishwariya's first release after marriage. Now, it seems that the Big B, who saw the rushes of the film recently, is quite displeased with some of the climatic scenes between him and Abhishek and wants the scenes to be re-shot. The Big B is being very cautious about this film as it is Abhishek's first film after his marriage last year. He feels that Sarkar Raj is an important film for Abhishek and he wants to take all precautions. Though Verma has wrapped up his final schedule for the film, Big B wants to make sure that his demand is addressed. He has even given dates in February to Verma to reshoot but the director did jot use them as he feels that film is complete and does not need changes. This stalemate is holding up the film's release. Sarkar Raj is being distributed by Ekta and Shobha Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. But leaving Sarkar Raj aside, Verma is currently completing his film Contact, produced by PVR Cinema and has been signed by One More Thought, a breakaway company of K Sera Sera, for three films. And the signing amount for three films is a Lexus car. K Sera Sera, the company that had slapped a legal notice on Verma has also made peace with him and will now be getting credit as producer in Sarkar Raj. Aprat from that, Verma is also working with Parag Sanghvi, an ex-partner in K Sera Sera and Manmohan Shetty's company.
