Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is still a part of Shankar's sci-fi thriller Robot. However, Ash, who is considered to be one of the most beautiful women in the world, has been asked by to work on herself by the makers.

Shankar has apparently told the actress to shed some six kilos as she will have to perform some stunts for the film. It is learnt that the actress has been working out meticulously at the gym and is also on a strict diet so that she can lose the weight quickly. Ash needs to look very thin for the movie, say sources. The actress had put on some weight for her role in Jodhaa Akbar and is now surviving on sprouts and liquids to help her shed those six kilos. Shankar is known to be very particular even about the smallest details in his film. He wants to leave no stone unturned for Robot as well. And if that means asking one of the most beautiful woman in the world to lose weight, so be it. This puts to rest rumours about the actress having walked out of the film. The actress has not bothered to clarify the rumours. Robot is the story of a scientist who invents a robot to take care of his physically challenged child. But the scientist is forced to terminate his invention when he finds out that the robot is responsible for killing a few people. The film's budget is a whopping Rs 100 crore. Shankar had approached actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan to play the lead before he finalized Rajnikanth.
