Director A. Venkatesh, who has completed Singakutty, has moved on to his next project Durai. Durai stars Arjun in the lead role. Earlier, it was announced that Padmapriya would play the leading lady in the film.
However, now it seems that the pretty lass will not be in the project. Padmapriya was to play the role of an ultra modern girl in the film, a contrast to the serious roles that she is known for.
It is learnt that the actress had demanded a higher fee for her costumes which the unit were unwilling to pay. Now, the unit is searching for an actress to fit the role. The film also has two more leading ladies in its cast – Gajala and a model from Mumbai.
