Come April and Mithun Chakraborty's son Mimoh will finally make an appearance on screen. Raj N Sippy asserts that his Jimmy will hit the screens either on April 18 or April 25. He said that the film is complete and the first copy is out and that Mimoh "s debut is assured. He also revealed that they had struck a deal with Sahara.
Sippy is already busy with another film with Mimoh. The film, which is called Murderer, is almost complete except for two songs that will be filmed in Dubai once Jimmy releases. Murderer should also be released this year. While Jimmy is a thriller revolving around a kid who goes through hell, Murderer as title indicates, is a whodunit with Mimoh as one of the suspects. Sippy is very happy about the fact that Mithun chose him over 1,500 directors to launch Mimoh and pronounces that the son is better than the father. Speaking on why Mimoh's debut has been arriving for the last two years, Sippy revealed that Jimmy would have released last year had it not been for a song which they added, as they wanted to go the extra mile. Mimoh will also be playing Sachin's role in the remake of Satte Pe Satta. It was Sanjay Dutt who had suggested the idea of a remake to Sippy. And the director is confident that Dutt will be able to adjust his dates to accommodate the film. He is in talks with him for playing the double role played by Amitabh Bachchan. Casting for the other roles has not started yet but Sippy's wish list includes Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan. Rani, he feels will be perfect for Hema Malini's role and Vidya can step into the role of Ranjeeta. Sippy is also planning remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Golmaal. And he has Amite in mind for the role played by Utpal Dutt and Sanjay Dutt for the role made famous by Amol Palekar. Interestingly, Rimoh, Mithun's other son, who is an aspiring director, will be assisting the director on the Satte Pe Satta remake.
