Excel Entertainment's Rock On is slated for an August 29 release all over. The film will mark the debut of director Farhan Akhtar as an actor.

Rock On is the debut directorial venture of Abhishek Kapoor. Besides, Farhan, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Sahana Goswami and Luke Kenny. Rock On will also see television's Bani (Prachi Desai), making her filmi debut. The actress, who played a typical Ekta Kapoor bahu in her television avatar, has gone over a complete makeover for the film and finally looks her age. The film's music is being composed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy while the lyrics are being written by none other Javed Akhtar.

Sirf-Life Looks Greener On The Other Side to release in April

Seven Eagle Productions' Sirf—Life Looks Greener On The Other side is slated for an April release all over through Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd.

The film stars Kay Kay Menon, Manisha Koirala, Sonali Kulkarni, Ranvir Shorey, Praveen Dabbas, Rituparna Sengupta, Ankur Khanna and Nauheed Cyrusi. The film is being produced by Sanjay Kotadia, Kanu Patel and Ghanshyam Patel. It is being directed by debutant Rajaatesh Nayar, who has been an assistant to Rajkumar Santoshi for quite a while.
