Mumbai, March 11 (IANS) Young Bollywood is short on talent. But some of the new talents to watch out for are director Farhan Akhtar in his new avatar as actor, TV actress Prachi Desai and newcomer Harman Baweja.

People are also raving about Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, who are busy with their next projects post 'Saawariya'.

Here are some Bollywood names that are expected to do well in the future:

Farhan Akhtar: Believe it or not, Bollywood's coolest director is turning leading man this year in Anand Surapur's 'The Fakir Of Venice'. Farhan stars as a filmmaker. In Abhishek Kapoor's 'Rock On', he's part of a rock band, and even sings his own songs. Rituparno Ghosh wants to cast Farhan and Shabana in a film.

Harman Baweja: He dances like a dream, takes to the camera as though it was his private paradise and, hey, Harman can even play cricket like a pro! In 'Victory', he slams sixers with real-life Australian players. But before that, he makes his grand debut in father Harry Baweja's 'Love Story 2050'.

Niharika Singh: Former beauty queen and currently a hot favourite with Himesh Reshammiya, Niharika is not only doing John Mathew Mathan's 'A Love Iissshtory' with Reshammiya, he has also made up his mind to cast her in his next movie.

Prachi Desai: Quite possibly, she could be the first female television star after Vidya Balan to crack the large screen. Prachi, who's got Ekta Kapoor for a godmother, is Farhan Akhtar's leading lady in 'Rock On'. Pert, pretty and petite, she's getting a second and third glance from the talent-famished industry.

Sonam Kapoor: Those who've seen her shoot for Rakeysh Mehra's 'Delhi 6' swear Sonam has taken her role of the befuddled night-queen in 'Saawariya' to a new level. Co-stars compare her with Waheeda Rehman and Rekha. But Sonam is happy being Sonam.

Ranbir Kapoor: Advantage 'Saawariya' over, Ranbir is now busy romancing Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Minissha Lamba in Yash Raj Films' tentatively titled 'Raj Tera Kya Hoga'. All the debutant awards have ensured his smooth progression into 2009.
