Washington, Mar 11 (ANI): American rock musician Courtney Love has slammed reports that she is 'bipolar'.

Love has claimed that such reports are slanderous, and is furious that the erratic way she behaves is being put down as her suffering from the disorder.

Courtney does admit that she is a little somewhat "eccentric" because of her tendency to speak her mind, but it just does not mean that she is suffering from the illness.

"God, people are bats**t. And im (sic) not the one who is. and i hear now i am "Bi Polar" uhhhh...thats more nuts than I will ever be," Contactmusic quoted her as having written on her MySpace blog.

"I may be Eccentric, i certainly speak my mind and am slow to put out a record i need to mean the world to me, and im sure i am quite Nuerotic (sic) but "Bi Polar". Thats just slander.I shoot straight from the hip and spellcheck has nothing to do with reality," she stated. (ANI)

|Ex-Speaker Sangma challenges Meghalaya Governor's action |National[Politics{New Delhi, Mar.11 (ANI): Meghalaya Governor S. S. Sidhu's decision to invite D. D. Lapang of the Congress to form the next government in the state has been challenged in the Supreme Court by former Lok Sabha Speaker P.A Sangma.

In a petition filed before an apex court bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan, senior advocate Soli Sorabjee, who is representing Sangma, claimed that the NCP-led Meghalaya Progressive Alliance (MPA) had the support of 31 of the 60 elected members, whereas the Congress had not been able to cobble up a majority. The court has posted the matter for hearing on Wednesday.

The Congress, with 25 MLAs, emerged as the single largest party and was invited by Governor S S Sidhu to form the government.

The MPA paraded 30 MLAs twice before the Governor and also staked its claim.

In Shillong, Sangma, who resigned from the Lok Sabha yesterday, told reporters after the swearing-in of 59 newly-elected MLAs of the eighth Meghalaya Assembly that "We have filed the petition against the governor's decision".

On Monday, senior Congress leader D D Lapang was sworn in as Meghalaya Chief Minister by the Governor, who rejected the MPA demand saying the decision was aimed at preventing horse-trading.

Defending his decision to call Congress, Sidhu, a former bureaucrat, said, "The MPA is not a pre-poll alliance and under such situation the single largest party should be called to form the government according to convention." Sangma termed the decision of the Governor as 'undemocratic' and 'unconstitutional'. (ANI)
