It seems that finally Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora will not be doing the much-hyped and written about item number in Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap. The sisters have been replaced by Sophie Chaudhary.

This would have been the first time that Malaika and Amrita would have shared the screen together with Sanjay Dutt. According to sources, the sisters were paid a whopping Rs 50 lakh for the dance number. So what made the deal fall through, one wonders? Well, according to sources, Malaika, Amrita and Gadhvi had long detailed discussions on the item number. The sisters even found the song very suitable. In Fact, Malaika found it very sexy and was eagerly looking forward to it. The excitement of shooting with sister Amrita had her all charged up as well. However, during the discussions, Malaika learnt that the song was an integral part of the story and that it focused on other aspects too. Malaika realized that the song did not focus solely on the three stars, Sanjay, Amrita and herself but involved the other aspects too. She felt that it was not doing justice to her and Amrita's presence and so opted put. Since Sophie and Gadhvi are good friends, she has been roped in to do the dance number. However, Malaika stated that it was an impossible task to match dates with Dutt, so they opted out. Sophie, on the other hand said that all she knew was that she is doing the song.
