His is a total transformation -- long hair, ruffled hair, termite-eaten jacket and an unkempt appearance. But actor Amitabh Bachchan seems to have enjoyed the entire experience of playing a ghost in Ravi Chopra's next.
Bachchan give full credit to director Vivek Sharma, who he says had a vision. According to the Big B, he only did what was asked of him. Look designer Muneesh Sappel said that they had several options for the look that the actor was to don for the film. He said that he was very happy with the final outcome. Producer Ravi Chopra describes Bachchan's look as rocking. However, according to the actor's make-up man, Deepak Sawant, the actor use to take one-and-a-half hour to get into the ghostly garb and only 30 minutes to get out. Apparently, the first day of shooting was quite eventful. There were a group of people waiting outside the Big B's van for his autograph when he emerged in his getup as Bhootnath. They were stunned and actually took a step back, according to sources. The Big b then tried to scare Juhi and everyone else on the sets too. There were screams and lots of laughter. For Bachchan the ghostly experience was anything but ghastly. The actor felt that the experience was deadly and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. However, the film is not a horror film but one which kids will enjoy as much as their parents. In the course of the film, Bachchan metamorphoses into a good soul.
