Black & White has received this exemption for its unique and excellent handling of the theme of terrorism, a worldwide issue, which should be seen by every Indian citizen, says the government release. The film has received mixed responses from all over. While a certain section of the critics have lauded the director for treading away from his beaten track and making a different kind of film, there are yet many who have panned the film. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Habib Tanvir and debutant Anuraag Sinha, a graduate from the Film & Television Institute of India.
