Katrina Kaif is the highest paid item girl in the industry. The actress is being paid a staggering Rs 1.5 crore to shake her booty in Shree Ashtavinayak's next film, Blue, starring Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta in lead roles.

Accrding to sources, Katrina has become a sort of luck mascot after all her films have done well. The actress is now getting any price that she is quoting. Shree Ashtavinayak's Blue has a budget of Rs 100 crore. Apparently when the production house had first asked her to do an item number, she had refused. But when the filmmakers agreed to pay her Rs 1.5 crore and offered her a few more scenes, the actress accepted. The actress is believed to have signed on the dotted line last week. Katrina, however, would not like to call it an item number. She says that she is doing something very special in Blue. She has given ten days for the film's shoot, May onwards. They will take seven days for the song and three days for the other bits. The actress was also approached to do another item number for Balaji Telefilms' next, C Company, but she turned it down. Money, it is believed was the bone of contention. Balaji was not willing to shell out that kind of money and the deal fell through.
