Malayalam actor Mammootty’s public appearance at a function to commemorate the birth anniversary of the late writer Vaikom Mohammad took an ugly turn a few days ago.
When the actor was eulogizing the late writer he also went on to state the special bond of friendship that he shared with Vaikom Mohammad.
But, unexpectedly, one of the youth in the crowd started lashing out at Mammootty for claiming to be the writer’s friend. He said that there was no friendship between the actor and the writer, and kept on asserting this, thereby trying to stall the function.
But Mammootty, also not perturbed by this behavior, did not heed to it. Meanwhile, the organizers with the help of the police evicted the disruptor from the place. This restored peace in the area and the function proceeded well.
