Kolkata, March 25 (ANI): The Jaya Bachchan-starrer "Love Songs" will hit screens this Friday.
The film directed by Jaybroto Ghosh, also features actor Om Puri and danseuse Mallika Sarabhai.
The movie was shot in Kolkata.
In a tete ... tete with media persons, today, Jaya Bachchan said the film was about a Bengali family, but people from all parts of the country could relate to it.
"This is about a man and a woman, a child, a girl and a boy. It's everybody's story, it's not Kolkata centric. There is a little bit of Bengali in it because we shot here, the location is supposed to be Kolkata but it does not relate to only Bengali families and Kolkata," said Jaya Bachchan.
Ms.Bachchan, however, refused to give details about her role in the movie before its release.
Veteran actor Om Puri and danseuse Mallika Sarabhai were also present at the press conference.
With several Bengali directors presenting off-beat cinema in a rather interesting and meaningful way, and various famous actors showing an interest in the movies produced in Tollywood, the film industry in West. (ANI)
