New York, March 26 (IANS) Broadway playwright Jeff Whitty has slammed late night talk show host Jay Leno for asking actor Ryan Phillipe to give his 'gayest look' in an interview.
According to tmz.com, Phillipe was slightly uncomfortable when Leno, commenting on his first role where he played a gay teen in the TV show 'One Life to Live', asked him to give him his 'gayest look'.
Whitty called Leno a jerk for 'using the stereotype that we're laughable and really, all the same in the end'.
On his website, Whitty linked images and articles of 'gay faces' like those of the teen Lawrence King who was killed in a hate-crime and asked Leno 'Which one's the gayest to you?'
