Karan Johar is currently in Miami, overseeing the shooting of his home production, Dostana in Miami. Despite having the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka in the main cast, Johar is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the film's success.

According to reports, Johar has quite a few special appearances in his film. He is believed to have roped in Shilpa Shetty to do a sizzling item number in his film. The actress is reportedly with the cast and crew in US, shooting for the number. And that is not all. Johar has also roped in actor Bobby Deol to make a special appearance in the film. Bobby is expected to join the unit by the middle of the month. It has been learnt that he has a slightly lengthier appearance in the film. This 'special appearance' bug is not just restricted to Johar. There have been directors in the past as well who have roped in big stars to create that surprise element in the film. Currently, Ravi Chopra, who is making Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai with Govinda and Lara Dutta, has managed to get Salman Khan to put in that mandatory special appearance in his film.
