Director Suraj has made a mark for himself in Kollywood with his films which combine comedy and action in the right proportion.
Currently he is working with Dhanush and Tamanna in Padikadhavan after which he has plans to direct Karthi. There is a rumor in the industry that the Suraj-Karthi combination is a remake of Telugu Vikramadityudu and that the film will be financed by Studio Green who had made Paruthiveeran.
While clarifying this rumor, Suraj says, “Though my next venture after Padikadhavan will be produced by Studio Green, it is not a remake film.
I have written the story and screenplay for this film which will have Karthi in the lead role”. It is also understood that after Karthi completes Selva’s Aayirathil Oruvan, he will be doing a Lingusamy’s film and Suraj’s film simultaneously.
