Paruthiveeran can certainly be called a landmark film in Tamil film industry. Director Ameer had brought out many talents through this film and for most of the cast members, albeit their small role, this film had given them their good deserved breaks.
Kariyapatti Lakshmi is one such person who shot to fame with her wonderful rendition of a folk lore in the film. She is a contemporary of Paravai Muniamma with whom she had sung many songs.
While talking to the media, she says, “I am very thankful to director Ameer who gave me an opportunity to sing in Paruthiveeran. Now by God’s grace, I am running my own music troupe and am conducting many programs”.
On her upcoming projects, Lakshmi says that she has sung in Thenavattu and Arai En 305il Kadavul. In a film titled Maatuthavani, she has rendered a number which will be in the form of a question-answer fashion.
