Washington, Apr 22 (ANI): Veteran rocker Sir Paul McCartney has urged the world to stop eating meat and become a veggie, in a bid to save the environment.

During an interview with animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) the 65-year-old said that land and water used up by the meat industry is a major threat to the environment.

"The biggest change anyone could make in their own lifestyle would be to become vegetarian," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I would urge everyone to think about taking the simple step to help our precious environment and save it for the children of the future," he added.

However, after dealing with a bitter divorce battle with ex wife Heather Mills, the former Beatle, who's set for a world tour wants to take her along for his world tour.

McCartney is so desperate to take his 4-year-old daughter Beatrice on tour with him that he's prepared to let his ex-wife tag along, too. (ANI)
