Kollywood is developing in all the areas of film making from production to acting to technical innovations. Our directors and cinematographers are the most sought after class and they are making their presence felt everywhere.
The latest trends in film making are being attempted in Tamil films and are being welcomed by movie buffs. Subramaniapuram is an upcoming film where a novel method of shooting a trailer has been tried.
While talking about this, director Sasikumar says, “In Hollywood, as a part of promotional campaign for a film, they will bring out an album which will have the salient features of the film and this will be shown as trailer in television and theatres. Of late, Hindi films have also started following similar procedures. I will be introducing such a trend in Subramaniapuram which will be the first of its kind in a Tamil film”.
He further added that though the period of happening in Subramaniapuram will be 80s, his hero will be clothed in contemporary style and will be singing about the film in this trailer which will be shown in television channels and in theatres but this song will not feature in the main film. Music for the film is being scored by James Vasanthan, the television anchor. Shooting of the trailer will be done at a special set created for this purpose and the film will hit the theatres by June.
