Not many will know that TV superstar, the extremely good looking Rajeev Khandelwal aka 'Sujal' used to gape at film posters, even as a seven year old school going kid, such was his fascination for Bollywood. As a first step towards the fulfillment of his ultimate wish, Rajeev Khandelwal became a household name through TV serials like KAHIN TO HOGA, C.I.D., LEFT RIGHT LEFT etc. But the MBA with an army background had set his aims higher.

Rajeev's title role in UTV Spot Boy's upcoming film AAMIR, may well be a stepping stone towards his successful debut on the big screen. As is known, Rajeev plays Aamir Ali, a progressive Muslim who is falsely implicated in a case while returning from London to Bombay.

An interesting aspect of Rajeev's role in AAMIR is that he has no leading lady opposite him. In fact, just last month, Rajeev had told us (during informal talks) that he has no intensions of playing a lover boy on screen and that is why he chose a script which had no female lead. Quite a bold decision coming from the heartthrob of countless female fans (especially!). But the interesting promo of the film, with the tag line 'Kaun Kehta Hai Aadmi Apni Kismat Khud Likhta Hai', which has just hit the channels prove that Rajeev is indeed on the right track!

Well, here's wishing that Rajeev surpasses his small screen success on the silver screen, by leaps and bounds!
