Director S.A. Chandrasekhar has found a villain for his next venture Pandhayam as soon as he finalized the protagonist - Nitin Sathya does the lead.

Ramana, whose directorial stint includes movies like the Vijay starrer Thirumalai and Aadhi and the Dhanush starrer Sullaan will smear the greasepaint for Pandhayam as the antagonist. Of these movies, Thirumalai proved to be a smash hit rewriting Vijay’s career graph.

Taking a cue from the success of other directors-turned-actors is the Vishal starrer Thimiru director Tarun Gopi. The announcement of his debut ‘Kaattupaya’ coincides with the 100th day of Kaalai - the Silambarasan starrer Pongal release also directed by him. Tarun plans to rope in Reema Sen to play the female lead and Yuvan Shankar Raja to score for the movie.

As it seems, it wouldn’t take too long for other directors to follow suit taking this as an inspiration. For instance, Perarasu has already demonstrated his capabilities in histrionics in the recently released Pazhani.
