Our Indian filmmakers seem to be fixated on Japan right now. We already know of director Aparna Sen who is currently working on her film, 'My Japanse Wife,' which stars Rahul Bose and Raima Sen, based on a story by Kunal Basu. Well, the Japanese fever seems to have hit closer home as well with the Rajshri's planning a film, which will be an Indo Japanese love story.
According to reports doing the rounds, the next project by the Barjatiyas will be a cross culture romance between an Indian and a Japansese. Currently, the production house is still running strong on its themes of 'The Indian Marriage' and the 'Great Indian Joint Family'. Their ongoing project Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi is scheduled to be released this year. It is only after the release of this project, they will begin work on their global venture. According to reports, the production house is yet to finalise the cast. Incidentally, Sooraj Barjatya, the scion of the Barjatiya parivaar, will not be directing this movie. It is expected to be directed by Aarti Bagri, who has assisted Sooraj all this while. This will be another first for the Rajshri's, as they have never had a woman director.
