Even though it was quite some wait for Sikandar Kher to see his debut film arrive at theaters, now it is going to be 'two-much-too-soon' for the young man with two of his films arriving in a matter of a fortnight.While WOODSTOCK VILLA has finally been confirmed for a 30th May release, his other film, SUMMER 2007, is also gearing up to hit the theaters on 13th June. While WOODSTOCK VILLA is a thriller, SUMMER 2007 belongs to drama genre.
The film is about five medical students from a capitation fee college in India who have only seen that part of India that boasts of luxuries like XBox and Formula 1 Racing. However, their life changes when they land up in one of the most deprived villages in Maharashtra due to a rural posting. The incidents which follow lead them to a soul-searching journey where each of them is required to go through a transformation and ultimately make a choice!
Apart from Sikandar Kher, the film stars Arjan Bajwa, Gul Panag, Divya Dutta and Uvika Chaudhary in the lead roles. SUMMER 2007 also has an interesting supporting cast which boasts of Ashutosh Rana, Sachin Khedekar, Vikram Gokhale and Prashant Narayanan.
Directed by debutant film maker Suhail Tatari SUMMER 2007 is produced by Atul Pandey and has music by Gourov Dasgupta.
