Ken Ghosh's film, starring Shahid Kapur, has been going through its fair share of title woes. The film was first titled Star, after a Kumar Gaurav movie made in the Eighties. But it seems that his leading man was not too happy with the title.
Though Ghosh's film is supposed to be based on the original Star, lead actor Shahid, who is a close friend of the director, was not too keen on the title. Shahid, who has quite a say on Ghosh's sets, finally man aged to persuade his friend to change the title to Yahoo. Apparently, the fate of films like Superstar and also of the original Star, gave the actor heebie jeebies. He definitely does not want his film to suffer the same fate. It seems that the title was lying with Firoz A. Nadiadwala and Shahid managed to buy the title off him. He shares a good rapport with the producer having worked in two of his productions, the latest being, Fool N Final. Incidentally, both Ghosh and Shahid have been denying that their film is based on Star. In fact, when reports appeared in the media. They went ahead and said that they had never even heard of the film. Anyway, for now it seems that Yahoo is the new name of the film. But there has been no official announcement as yet by either Ghosh or his producers, UTV.
