First time director Sachin Yardi insists that his debut venture C KKOMPANY is not a spoof on D COMPANY. Though the title of his comic outing may have a stark resemblance to that of Ram Gopal Varma launchpad of Randeep Hooda, it seemingly doesn't have any common elements with the latter."It is a myth that my film is a spoof on D COMPANY", says Sachin Yardi who in the past has written two completely diverse films - KYA KOOL HAI HUM and TRAFFIC SIGNAL, "Neither is there any similarity in the two films nor have I tried to create a spoof."
So what exactly is his film about? Isn't there an underworld element involved? Apparently the trio of Tusshar Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Rajpal Yadav is (wrongly) suspected to be huge players in underworld which results in the issue snowballing all the way till 'Sansad'.
"Yes, there is an underworld element involved but in an entirely comical manner. My lead protagonists are three ordinary people who become a part of some extraordinary situations. So much so that the entire country becomes aware about their existence and start dreading them", reveals Yardi.
Incidentally C KKOMPANY would be Tusshar Kapoor's second comedy in a row after ONE TWO THREE which was successful in spite of being unanimously panned by critics all over.
A Balaji Motion Pictures presentation, C KKOMPANY is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor and also stars Raima Sen and Mithun Chakraborty. The film has music by Bappa Lahiri and Anand Raaj Anand.
