Newcomer Sikander Kher's second release 'Summer 2007', which follows closely on the release of his debut film Woodstock Villa, was premiered on 12th June at Fun Republic with a number of celebrities joining to show their support. The entire cast, comprising of Sikanker, Gul Panag, Yuvika Choudhary, Alekh, Arjan Bajwa and Ashutosh Rana were present and visible excited happy. The film deals with several rural issues which often those of living in the urban metros are oblivious to. In fact the cast too has admitted that they have learnt a lot during the journey of this making this film, things which they were not even aware of and now they want everyone else to know about it. More over they all are happy with their characters and efforts they gave to the film. Kiran Kher who walked the red carpet along with son Sikander says that she is feeling proud of Sikander for being a part of this film and playing such important character in it. Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi also blessed the young actors and expressed that they were highly impressed with the concept of the film when they heard about it and were eager to see how it has been presented. The film was compared with Rang De Basanti before its release but everyone who is a part of this film has vehemently denied. Whether the film is really like RDB, will be clear on its viewing, but whether it attains the same success is something we wil all have to wait for a verdict on.
