Apoorva Lakhia has zeroed in on the cast for his film which launch the winning duo from Ekta's Kapoor's reality show 'Kissko Milega Ticket To Bollywood.' The film will star Sanjay Dutt, Tusshar Kapoor and Zayed Khan, besides the two newcomers. For once, there will be no Abhishek Bachchan in the film, not even in a guest appearance.
As Apoorva puts it, "No Abhishek this time, at least not in this one. I need to work with actors I haven't worked with before. Tusshar couldn't do my Mission Istaanbul. So I'd want to work with him this time, even if this wasn't his home production. Zayed is someone I've watched evolve as an actor during Mission Istaanbul. I'd like to take him forward." As for Abhishek, Apoorva admits that "though I'd like to feature him in all my films, just this one I'm going let Abhishek go. But in the second-half of next year, I'm doing a film with Abhishek as solo hero for producer Vashu Bhagnani." Apparently, it was good friend Abhishek who got him the project in the first place. "When Vashuji asked Abhishek to do a film for him, Abhishek suggested my name as director," reveals Lakhia. He is unwilling to divulge details of the Bhagnani project right now. He just says that it will be a "full-on masti film". The last time Abhishek did a solo-hero film with him, Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, it flopped. But this time, he promises to ensure that the audiences go home with a smile on their face.
