Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan's wife has decided to go solo. She has launched her own production house. One must admit that the move came as a surprise, as so far Kiran has been playing the perfect supporting wife to Aamir, though one had heard that she was wanting to direct a film for a while now.

The production house is called Cinema 73. It seems that Kiran has been ready with her script for quite a while now. With the launch of her production house, she will soon be starting work on her film. So now, Aamir will have competition at home as well. Kiran's film is expected to feature newcomers and one is not sure whether Aamir will at all act in the film or not. It will be remembered that Kiran was working as an assistant to Ashutosh Gowariker during the making of Lagaan, which is when she and Aamir came close together. After her marriage to Aamir, Kiran has helped out director Rakesh Mehra during Dilli 6 when she assisted him during a crisis, besides supporting Aamir during the making of Taare Zameen Par.
