Director Farhan Akhtar was left in quite a soup when Saif Ali Khan ditched him for his forthcoming project, Voice From The Sky, one that is very close to Farhan's heart. And to top it, actress Priyanka Chopra too decided not to do the film. Well, there's good news finally for him.

According to the buzz doing the rounds, actor Akshaye Khanna has stepped in and bailed out Farhan. It will be remembered that it was Farhan's Dil Chahta Hai which really give a new lease of life to the career of Saif specially. But even though Farhan was disappointed with Saif not being part of the project, he is very happy that Akshaye has stepped in. After all, he shares an equally good equation with him as well. Also, according to Farhan, both actors suited the role. According to the grapevine, the actual protagonist in the film is the character of the child, which may be why Saif wanted out of the role. As for Priyanka, she tried juggling all her dates around as she wanted to keep in Farhan's good books and be a part of the Don sequel as well. But she too seems to have given up on that. The young director is expected to begin filming from November onwards.
