Suniel Shetty has been having a mixed year so far. His delayed MR. WHITE MR. BLACK was plain and simply annoying and hence a deserving flop. On the other hand his comedy track was the best part of ONE TWO THREE and contributed hugely in the film turning out to be a success. Now the month of July is quite critical for him not just as an actor but also as a producer. His first two productions - KHEL and RAKTH were both box office disappointments that resulted in him taking a break and returning after a break with BHAGAM BHAG. The film turned out to be a big hit and Shetty went on to make his next flick MISSION ISTANBUL. With Apoorva Lakhia as the director and Vivek Oberoi and Zayed Khan heading the starcast, Shetty has a lot in stake with this big budget action entertainer which releases on 25th July. Incidentally, Shetty also has a pivotal role as an actor in the film.
But before the release of MISSION ISTANBUL, Suniel Shetty would also be seen playing an important part in MUKHBIIR which sees him reuniting with his RUDRAKSH director Mani Shankar. An espionage thriller, it is arriving at least a year later than it's original release plans and would be hitting the screens this Friday i.e. 11th July. Though the film has Sameer Dattani as the leading man, Shetty along with Om Puri and Jackie Shroff are the senior actors who come together to provide credibility to the project.
While as a producer, Suniel Shetty also has projects like EMI, MUMBAI CHAKA CHAK and LOOT at different stages of production, some of his forthcoming films as an actor are PAATHSHAALA, CHAI GARAM, BLUE, DADDY COOL and RED ALERT - THE WAR WITHIN.
