She had pined her hopes for her big ticket to 'A' grade cinema with DHOL. Though the film was an average runner, it did see Payal Rohatgi in a different light altogether. She did play a glamorous role in the Tusshar Kapoor-Sharman Joshi-Kunal Khenu-Rajpal Yadav starrer as well but she got a chance to demonstrate her acting talent as well.However, instead of signing films by the dozens after the release of DHOL, Payal stuck on to her policy of 'only quality cinema' and even though she had to wait a while for that, she didn't quite mind that. Well, results are there to be seen as now, after close to a year after the release of DHOL, Payal would be seen in a film coming under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications.
We are talking about UGLY AUR PAGLI, a film which would see Payal Rohatgi in a special appearance. Even though the film revolves around Mallika Sherawat and Ranvir Shorey, this directorial debut of Sachin Khot has Payal Rohatgi playing an important part in the film. Her role has been currently kept under the wraps though buzz is that she may well turn out to be a surprise package of the film.
Also starring Tinu Anand and Sushmita Mukherjee, UGLY AUR PAGLI with music by Anu Malik, is confirmed for a 25th July release. Songs from the film are already getting popular though one looks forward to see whether Payal too gets to jig on a number in UGLY AUR PAGLI.
