Ekta Kapoor is known for her high handed ways. But not if you are in her good books. And it seems that actress Prachi Desai, who is making her film debut with Rock On, has managed to stay on her right side.

As is well known, Prachi was doing a show, Kasamh Se for Ekta's Balaji Telefilms, when she was spotted and offered Rock On by Abhishek Kapoor, who incidentally happens to be a cousin of Ekta's. Whatever the reason, Ekta, who is otherwise quite possessive of her actors, was more than happy to let Prachi go. In fact, not only did she give Prachi her blessings, but she has also decided to promote the film as well in her shows. Ekta is very fond of Prachi, who she says is like family. Since the director Abhishek, is also like family, the entire Jeetendra family is very excited about the film. In fact, so fond is Ekta of Prachi, that she even wanted to end her show after Prachi quit. It was the channel which did not allow her to have her way. Prachi, who is quite excited about her debut film, is extremely excited at only getting Ekta's consent and blessings but also having her support the film. This is called a true mentor.
