The slick and exciting promos of MISSION ISTAANBUL are already creating hype for the Apoorva Lakhia directed film. The makers have now gone in for the max via item boy, Abhishek Bachchan's superb promotional video. But more than anything else, it is the unlikely team of Vivek Oberoi and Zayed Khan that is turning out to be the USP of the film.However, not many will know this but Apoorva wanted Zayed Khan to make only a guest appearance in MISSION ISTAANBUL. But Zayed told Apoorva that only big and busy stars essayed guest and special appearances, and he fitted in neither of the two categories! He also informed Lakhia that since he did not have any films at that time and so it was better that he do a full fledged role instead of a guest appearance. Lakhia did not give any response to Zayed's request at that point of time but got back to him within a week. Thus Zayed landed himself the plum role of MISSION ISTAANBUL's Vikas Sagar, a stylish TV journalist.
